Information Technology Services (ITS)


The Telecommunications team provides comprehensive support to clients for all telecommunications services at the University of Toronto.

Since joining Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions (EIS) group on October 1, 2015, the Telecom group has completed a major migration of over 13,000 traditional Bell Centrex phone lines to a cloud-based IP telephony solution (VoIP) in order to provide better service and reduce costs.  The Telecom group also coordinates the corporate cellphone plan and the contract for legacy Bell Centrex lines used primarily in elevators and Code Blue emergency call boxes.
