Reconciliation: Walking the path of Indigenous allyship

What does it mean to be an ally to Indigenous peoples? And is it even possible to call yourself an ally or is more correct to say that one can only aspire to be an ally as allyship is a continuous process of self-reflexivity and learning and acting in a decolonial manner. These are some of the questions and issues that will be explored in the hour and a half presentation.

Universal Design 101

This session will provide all staff with key resources, tips and techniques to support the embedding of universal design principles in all aspects of their work. Participants will be introduced to the concepts and principles of universal design, provided with guidance on what spaces, built and not, universal design has been applied, and given advice on what aspects of university administration and services can be designed using this concept. Participants will leave this session with practical strategies for applying universal design to their own roles.

What is a Data Management Plan and why do I need one?

This workshop is intended to provide a basic overview of Data Management Plans (DMPs), a tool often used to lay a foundation for good research data management practices through the life of a research project and beyond.
