Thursdays@3: Leveraging Azure cloud architecture

Join us for early insight into a new cross-unit initiative that will expand our capacity to leverage Microsoft Azure cloud architecture, both for ITS and for the broader U of T community. This session will describe a proposed framework for managing divisional requests for cloud resources, using an innovative “Landing Zone” model to efficiently deploy resources and appropriate support services appropriate to the context (i.e. systems integration, local administrative or research projects). Given the range of needs within our IT community, an architecture continuum is anticipated, as well as cloud governance and administrative access protocols to ensure robust security practices are implemented. ITS staff are invited to learn about this important new project, which will be a key building block in the future of IT@UofT.
