Laurie Harrison, Director of Online Learning Strategies, Information Technology Services (ITS), was recently appointed to a four-year term on the board of directors for eCampusOntario, a government-funded agency.

The eCampus Ontario mandate is to advance the use of education technology and digital learning environments within the higher education sector. Through a range of funding programs and community activities, eCampusOntario leads development of exemplary practices in online and digitally-enabled learning.

Harrison has been the University of Toronto’s liaison with the agency since its inception in 2016. She has coordinated proposal development and support for more than 35 eCampusOntario-funded projects at a value of more than $1.5M.

For the past two years, she has also been co-chair of the eCampusOntario Faculty Advisory Committee. Given her many years of experience in the design, development and evaluation of innovative projects supporting digital learning, she will doubtless make a valuable contribution to the eCampusOntario board.
