Security Matters website to be decommissioned March 20

The University of Toronto will retire the Security Matters website (securitymatters.utoronto.ca) on March 20, 2026, following the full migration of its content to the Information Security site at security.utoronto.ca. This change supports our effort to consolidate all Information Security resources in one place, delivering an improved user experience through a one‑stop shop for information security content.

Staff and units across the university are being asked to update any links, references or bookmarks that still point to the Security Matters site. This includes webpages, email signatures, PDFs, presentations and other materials. High‑impact website owners have been notified directly where outdated links were identified.

The Information Security website offers improved navigation and refreshed content designed to make it easier for the U of T community to find guidance and resources.
