Building on these successes, the Advisory Group will continue to support staff growth by ensuring staff have access to programs that strengthen their technical and professional skills.

Planned initiatives to expand opportunities in the coming year include:

  • A continued focus on AI-related topics through Thursday@3 sessions
  • Information security training for applications developers
  • Digital accessibility strategy sharing within the IT professional community

Professional skill enhancement is a key objective outlined in the IT@UofT Strategic Plan, with an emphasis on knowledge-sharing, collaborative training and continuous skill-building. These initiatives help staff navigate rapid shifts in technology, industry standards, digital trends and best practices. The overall goal is to ensure a future-ready IT@UofT community.

At the heart of these efforts is one of ITS’ core values: maintaining a culture of learning. By investing in professional growth, IT@UofT ensures staff are equipped with the skills, knowledge and confidence to meet the evolving needs of the university community.
