FIPPA + PIA information session #1

Have you heard about recent changes to the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA)? Will you be collecting personal information as part of a new University of Toronto activity?

Learn more about what personal information is and how to stay compliant with FIPPA to protect our community. In this one-hour virtual session, information security and privacy law experts will help you understand your role in compliance—including mandatory privacy impact assessments—and answer all your questions. This session is open to all U of T faculty and staff working in any unit, role or discipline. The information presented will be accessible to a non-expert audience.

• 11:00 – 11:10: Summary of updates to FIPPA
• 11:10 – 11:30: Interactive session featuring individual use cases
• 11:30 – 12:00: Q&A

Attendees are requested to review an FAQ before the information session.
