Connect+Learn: Reporting tools and downloads from ROSI and ROSI Express

Join us for a session about Reporting Tools and Downloads from ROSI and ROSI Express.

This session will explore how staff in academic units and Registrars’ Offices can generate class lists, reports, and downloads of academic information from ROSI and ROSI Express. The initial focus of this session will be on the class list report which is generated from ROSI Express using Power BI. Attendees will be shown a basic feature set and how to navigate the refreshed interface. Following that, we will demonstrate the entire ROSI Download process, from setting up parameters, to importing text file output for use in Excel. The session will conclude with a discussion of the new output format in ROSI’s Diagnostic Reporting screens (e.g., sessional count) and how to convert output file formats.

In the session, we will discuss:

• Refresher of the PowerBI class lists reports available through ROSI Express
• Review of ROSI report downloads (downloads available, formatting output, and new output header files)
• Converting ROSI “list” reports (e.g., Registration diagnostics) to Excel
• How to differentiate and convert between file types used in ROSI (e.g., *.TXT vs. *.PRN vs *.CSV)
