Information Technology Services (ITS)
Annual wireless certificate update
Published on: July 18, 2023
Information Technology Services will perform its annual wireless certificate update on Monday, Aug. 14 at 8 a.m. This update is performed each year to ensure the University of Toronto’s tri-campus wireless system remains as secure as possible.
The change is expected to be completed before 8:30 a.m. the same day.
What do I need to do?
- Once the update is complete, wireless users may be prompted to accept or verify the new security certificate the first time they attempt to reconnect to the UofT or eduroam networks. Once accepted, the wireless device will save the setting and connect automatically.
- If your device requires manual certification installation, visit https://wireless.utoronto.ca/connect/.
- Some wireless devices may display a popup window asking the user to trust or accept the new certificate for “radius.wireless.utoronto.ca”. Please ensure that the popup references the correct certificate before you click trust or accept.
- If you encounter any issues, you can “forget” the wireless network profile and set up the connection again.
More setup instructions for the UofT and eduroam networks are available at https://wireless.utoronto.ca/connect/.
