New System Status Panel

Information Technology Services has introduced a new and more efficient System Status Panel on Thursday, July 24th, 2014. ITS has selected an externally-hosted system status solution that will allow us to reliably communicate about central system status messages. It also provides a more streamlined work flow to our Joint Operations Group (JOG) staff to send out status messages to the system status web site, e-mail subscribers, and the ITS Twitter feed all at once. There is also an RSS feed to which users can subscribe.

We invite our community to visit the new panel and subscribe using the Subscribe option. You may subscribe using your UofT e-mail address or an alternate (non-UofT) e-mail address if immediate system status notifications are desired. We hope that this will address the feedback we have received from our community and deliver more timely information about service outages and scheduled maintenance of central systems.
How to Report a Problem:
If you suspect an issue or are experiencing an outage, always contact your local campus Help Desk first for assistance.
If you notice an issue with the System Status panel, you may use the Contact the JOG link on the site. Alternatively, you may notify us via Twitter @ITSUofT.
We hope that this will address the feedback we have received from the community and provide more timely information about service outages and scheduled maintenance of central systems. As always, we welcome your feedback.
