The name has changed, but the goal remains the same: to provide a platform for people to share ideas, discuss trends and network with colleagues across the tri-campus community. This unique conference celebrates the diverse information technology community at the University of Toronto (U of T).

Volunteer positions

There are two roles available to U of T staff and faculty interested in volunteering at the IT@UofT 2021 conference:

  1. Moderators — Play a vital role in conference sessions by helping guide the conduct and flow of the discussions. Duties include: facilitating the introduction of speakers/participants, helping field questions and monitoring time limits.
  2. Help desk support — This year’s conference will be held virtually and as a result online support will be a key component. Duties include: answering general conference inquiries related to session details and times as well as technical issues, such as troubleshooting the Hopin platform (the conference’s location) and assisting with audio/visual and connectivity.

If you would like to express your interest in volunteering, please email the Education, Awareness & Culture team with your preferred role choice at: its.eda@utoronto.ca. The deadline to express your interest in volunteering is April 9.
