Introducing the new Day in the Life video series

Through video submissions from individuals or teams, the Day in the Life series captures a behind-the-scenes look at the day-to-day events, nuances and spaces of IT@UofT on campus.

The IT@UofT community consists of a wide variety of individuals and teams, all of which have vastly different on-campus experiences and relationships. In this series, any information technology staff or teams at the University of Toronto are invited to showcase their office space, favourite walk on campus, the cozy coffee shop they go to in the morning, social aspects of their team dynamic and more.

Submission guidelines:

  • Videos can be shot on your iPhone or using U of T Library cameras.
  • Videos should be between 30 seconds and two minutes in length.
  • Videos should be shot in landscape format.
  • Acceptable video formats: .mov, .mpeg, .mp4, .avi, .wmv, .mpegps, .flv, webM, and 3GPP.
  • Written and photo submissions are also welcome.

Video prompts:

  • Introduce your team and staff.
  • What is your day like in the office?
  • What is your favourite lunch or coffee spot near the office?
  • Where do you go for a midday stroll?
  • Do you have any fun office trinkets or toys?
  • Where on campus is your office located?
  • What does your team like to do for fun, as a group or individual hobbies?
  • What is your team currently working on (big projects)?

If you are not able to submit a video, you are welcome to submit written responses by answering the questions below and providing supplementary photos:

  • What team do you belong to? Who are the staff?
  • What is your day like in the office?
  • What is your favourite lunch or coffee spot near the office?
  • Where do you go for a midday stroll on campus?
  • Do you have any fun office trinkets or toys?
  • What does your team like to do for fun, as a group?
  • Does your team use any helpful tactics for staying productive and happy?
  • How has your team changed over the past 5 years?
  • What is your team currently working on (big projects)?
