Ground & rise: Somatics for stress relief & nervous system support

This session introduces participants to the foundations of somatic healing with a focus on grounding and gentle regulation. Ideal for employees navigating daily stressors, it helps participants come back into the body and build a sense of safety.

Outline

At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Welcome + intro to somatics (5 mins)
  • Nervous system 101: fight/flight/freeze/fawn explained (5 mins)
  • Grounding breathework & body scanning (10 mins)
  • Gentle somatic movement to release tension (20 mins)
  • Restorative mindfulness practice (10 mins)
  • Group reflection + tools to take away (10 mins)

Purpose

To restore calm, build self-awareness, and teach tools that can be used in the moment to self-regulate during the workday.
