As part of its Research Information Security Program (RISP), IT@UofT is hosting monthly “Cyber security and your research(ers) office hours” sessions for researchers and research support staff to ask questions about and gain deeper insight into safeguarding their research, as well as learn about new and existing initiatives, resources, and supports available to secure their research.
Each session will open with a brief presentation (5 – 10 mins.) on a cyber security topic or resource, followed by time for researchers and support staff to ask questions about and/or discuss opportunities and avenues for securing their research data.
Presentation topic: AI security and research
Session format: Virtual (Microsoft Teams)
Michael Laurentius, Research Information Security Specialist, Information Security
While these sessions are open to everyone, topics will be most relevant to U of T researchers and research support staff.
The RISP acts as a bridge between research needs and cyber security requirements. By providing assistance and services directly to researchers, RISP aims to reduce the research administrative burden while improving overall competitiveness.
