Teaching, Learning and Technology Advisory Committee

Terms of Reference

The purpose of this committee is to function as a high-level consultative body to guide policy and operations in all aspects related to the advancement of teaching and learning in the University and the use of information technologies in teaching and learning consistent with university policy.

  • The Committee is the main link between the academic divisions and the operational organizations involved in the delivery of services related to the advancement of teaching and learning. These include:
    • The Centre for Teaching Support and Innovation
    • The Library and the Scotiabank Information Commons
    • Academic Technology Initiatives, ITS (Learning Management System)
    • Enterprise Applications and Solutions Integration, ITS (Student Information System)
  • The Committee will provide advice on the needs and expectations of faculty to enhance the quality of teaching, learning and the student’s academic experience.
  • The Committee will be a venue for discussing operational matters in various service units to ensure that our systems are managed in a manner compatible with the teaching and learning needs of the academic divisions.

Meeting Schedule

The last scheduled meeting for TLTAC took place on Thursday, February 7th, 2019. The new meeting schedule for this committee has not been set and will be announced when available.
