SSL/TLS Certificates

The ISEA unit of Information Technology Services facilitates the purchase of Comodo Group TLS (formerly known as SSL) Certificate products for University server administrators. Purchasing through this service provides advantages over purchasing direct from a commercial Certificate Authority:
  • Completion of the site validation process for the utoronto.ca or toronto.edu domains.
  • Significant cost reduction.
  • ISEA implements a departmental contact assessment process to ensure there is appropriate authorization to use server certificates (see the note in the link below for more details).
  • Notification of imminent certificate expiry is provided at least two weeks before the expiry date.
