WEBLOGIN: The University of Toronto weblogin service (UTORweblogin) provides a single place for you to identify yourself to web services within the University.  This is commonly called a "single sign-on" (SSO) system. Once you log in to weblogin.utoronto.ca, you can access services like the Portal and webmail as well as other weblogin-enabled web services.  A single point of login simplifies access to protected services. Users can log in once with a single JOINid/UTORid and password and have access to many services. Service providers can authenticate users without having to maintain their own password systems.
UTORID: All faculty, staff and student members of the University community have an established identity with University systems.  UTORid, combined with your password, is your key to many University services. Students, faculty, and staff receive a letter with their offer / acceptance package that has directions for getting a TCard. When you visit the TCard office, you will be given your UTORid and a Secret Activation Key (SAK) to register for your UTORid which becomes your login credentials for a variety of services at the University.

For visitors to the University, short and long term guest UTORids are available.
INFORMATION SECURITY GUIDELINES: University of Toronto applies information security standards as a guideline to ensure the University's information systems and personal information is not compromised.

PRINTER AND PHOTOCOPIER SECURITY GUIDELINES: A set security guidelines are available for printers and photocopiers.   Staff managing purchasing and disposing of printers and photocopiers should adhere to these guidelines in order to ensure security of the University's data.   ITS strongly encourages purchasing printers and photocopiers with an encryption option. Printers and photocopiers with hard drives hold sensitive data and must be treated accordingly in order to minimize information security risks.
